The two rivals, Arsenal and Tottenham, both wanted to be in fourth place in the English Premier League. Tottenham just needed a win, and then hope Arsenal would lose their game. Tottenham got the win against Sunderland, but unfortunately for them, Arsenal also won their game, making Tottenham permanently fourth place for this year's EPL league standings.
