Brazil Claim Confederations Cup Title, Italy Earn Bronze

Everybody seemed so excited for the Brazil-Spain Final, that none seemed to care all that much about the third place playoff between Uruguay and Italy. But what a tense game it was! Italy scored the opener in the 24th minute, then Cavani brought the equalizer. Then Italy scored again, this time from an outstanding free kick. Uruguay brought back the favour by scoring by nearly the same free kick, this one from Cavani. Extra time did not bring any goals, but Uruguay were definitely dominating in extra time. The game went on to penalties, which Italy won. The Italians had earned bronze for the 2013 Confederations Cup. The final was a much more exciting, or one sided, game. The game started with a very early goal from Fred, who shot the ball while lying on the ground. Neymar scored one minute before the half time whistle, while Fred scored his second of the game at the 47th.
