The twenty fourth placers, Czech Republic, were looking for a solid three points home against Italy. This was their chance to get a result against 4 time winners of the World Cup. Unfortunately, both teams failed to score a single goal, resulting in an upsetting 0-0 draw. Czech Republic had Italy on the back foot for the whole game, having 8 shots for Republic and only 3 for Italy at halftime. Mario Balotelli was one of the most fouled person in this game, but he picked up a second yellow card during the second half, resulting in him being sent off. Unfortunately for Italian fans, Stephan El Shaawary's hairstyle was not good enough to get a win against Czech Republic.
