After their upsetting 2-2 tie against England at their own stadium, Brazil wanted to get a comfortable result against unimpressive France in front of their own fans. Brazil played well to win the friendly, just what they needed to get ready for their opening match of the Confederations Cup against Japan. Oscar, Hernenes, and Lucas all scored in the second half, resulting the game in a 3-0 win for Brazil. This was upsetting for France, because they lost four days earlier to Uruguay 1-0.
