Liverpool got off to a great start in their opening game, winning 1-0, but dominating, against Stoke City. If it wasn't for Begovic, this would be a massive win for Liverpool. The Liverpool defence conceded a penalty for a handball in the box, but it was saved by the new Liverpool signing. Arsenal fans were worrying after their team lost 3-1 to Aston Villa. Benteke scored twice for Aston Villa, showing that he is one of the greatest players in the EPL. David Moyes, former Everton manager, started his journey with United quite well, defeating Swansea 4-1 in their opening game. Van Persie and Danny Welbeck both scored twice, making United top of the first day of the Premier League.
