In the third game of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2013 hosted in Brazil, top team Spain had to face 4th placers Uruguay in a group stage match. Pedro scored a lucky early goal, taking a large deflection of a Uruguayan player and rolling into the net. Then Roberto Soldado scored an easy second one for Spain. Liverpool player Luiz Suarez scored a free kick in the 88th minute, but that was not enough for Uruguay as they lost 2-1.
